Despite the trouble I had sleeping, I woke up early again. After breakfast I checked out and decided to go for a short walk before leaving. I asked the hotel receptionist if the field in the back led to the sea. After she jokingly informed me that the field was, in fact, a golf course, she said that it does lead to the water and would be a nice walk for me.
Up to this point my leg had been feeling much better. The day before I had a lot of trouble walking and was in a fair amount of pain when I did walk, but this morning I was walking almost normally again. After the 15-minute walk across the golf course, the pain started to return. I sat on a bench by the water for a few minutes to rest and write before heading back to the hotel parking lot. My leg continued to bother me as I walked back, although it was not fully as bad as the day before.
I headed off on my drive toward the Whiskey trail. My first stop was Glenlivet, which had been one of my favorite whiskeys in the past.
